Understanding the Bail Bonds Process
When an individual is arrested for a suspected crime, they will generally be taken to a local police station or Sheriff's office for booking and processing (police paperwork, photographs, fingerprinting and possibly uploading information to a public database.) Depending on the nature of the crime, they may then transferred to another holding facility, such as a county jail.
How do I know how much bail I have to pay?
The amount of the bail is usually dependant on the seriousness of the crime. For minor charges, such as traffic or driving offenses, the amount of the bail may be determined by the county Bail Schedule (see Orange County's Bail Schedule). More serious crimes may require the inmate to appear before a judge to determine the amount of bail, or if bail is granted at all. Inmates will permitted to use the telephones to contact friends/family members, attorneys and/or to arrange for the bail amount to be paid.
Once the amount of the bond has been determined, contact our office immediately. We will go over all the details, explain the financing options and release process, and work quickly to get the defendant released.
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. For immediate help with a bail bond in the Anaheim area, in Orange County, or anywhere in southern California, contact our office and speak with one of our California licensed bail agents.
